A sweet story about a sheep who is disappointed with his granny’s gift but soon discovers it is the best gift ever. Granny Mutton gets a bit carried away when she’s knitting her grandson a scarf.
Little Lionel is imagining his present is going to be a football, which he can share with all his friends but he is disappointed when he opens it to discover a very long scarf. However his friends show him how the scarf can be great fun and soon everyone joins in. In the end Little Lionel realises that it is a fantastic gift.
