Author description

Owen Bullock has wanted to be a writer since he was ten years old. He made a start with short stories and has been writing poetry and songs since his teens. Other passions have included running, juggling and music, but poetry is what he comes back to. He has been a regular contributor to New Zealand journals for some years, appearing in Takahe, Sport, Landfall and Poetry NZ to name just a few. Owen has been an editor of Poetry NZ, Bravado, Spin and Kokako. He is well-known as a haiku poet and in 2009 published his first haiku collection, wild camomile (Post Pressed). In 2010 he published a novella, A Cornish Story (Palores Publications). This is Owen's first full collection of longer poems.
