Contentment is not enough
    for life
excitement is needed too,
sometimes found when
memories return to tease –
did I really do that or say and think
    so strangely?

Hindsight creates a new perspective,
    is welcome,
gives me another memory
    for another day
    enabling me
to look in different directions,
    new vistas open
    to explore and store.
