Italy is enchanting, bewitching. It casts a spell. Beauty that lies in the historical and architectural heritage to be found in churches and abbeys, in historic town centers and museums, in castles and archaeological sites, a heritage steeped in ancient history. It is also the beauty of the natural heritage that lies in mountain roads, national parks and idyllic beaches. But that is not all. In Italy are remote landscapes and secrets that must be discovered, sniffed out and at times tracked down. There are monasteries, hermitages, watchtowers, treasure collections, regional traditions, arts and traditional trades.
