Author(s): Jack Duggan
Born in Creswick, Australia, Jack Duggan arrived in New Zealand in 1952 and has since authored numerous histories, articles and poems. Jack has worked a variety of jobs here and abroad, basing his novel Ikabula on his time as a company manager in coup-stricken Fiji. Echoes from the Bones, his third book of poetry, is a major collection of his life's work. It is drawn from his experiences in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, the Pacific, and travels around the world. The poems celebrate and reflect on Jack's carefree youth, family and other loves, spear-fishing and deep-sea diving expeditions, and other colourful adventures. Jack lives in Wellington with his wife, Mary.
